VACANCY DESCRIPTION

Boston Energy is currently recruiting for two Business Leads to lead and support the growing business divisions within our European markets.

European Business Lead

  • The European Business Lead position will be based in Europe, preferably Germany and the direct report will be the Director of Energy.

The main responsibilities of these roles will be:

  • Responsible for maintaining and developing existing customer relationships through good service and a continuous improvement approach
  • Working with the Director of Energy on the development and delivery of our business strategy
  • Leading a team with the ultimate responsibility of managing and fulfilling the needs of a multi-customer and multi-project portfolio
  • Develop a thorough understanding of and then the ongoing monitoring of the European Wind Energy pipeline of work to identify where Boston Energy should work within this
  • Coordinate service reviews with our main customer base to measure the success of our service offering and understand where and how we can improve
  • Ensure frequent and ongoing communication with our main customer contacts as well as seeking out new contacts for yourself and the Boston Energy management team to align to
  • Develop Boston Energy’s reputation by ensuring a positive experience for every new technician that we engage with through good recruitment and selection practice
  • Ensure frequent and ongoing engagement with our established technician workforce
  • Develop, implement and manage the team against individual and team KPI’s that align with the European core business strategies
  • Using ‘Insights profiles’ to help select the best possible team fit when hiring new team members and also to understand how you can get the best from the people you lead
  • Working with the Director of Energy to identify and work on areas of personal development for oneself and those that you lead
  • Demonstrate the company values of quality, reliability, integrity, safety and fairness through your own actions and the way that you lead your team
  • Working with the business development team to identify new business pipeline opportunities
  • Champion a reciprocal environment for the sharing of leads and industry intelligence ensuring the Energy management team all contribute to our team effort for new business growth
  • Ensuring team adherence to the use of company systems so that information is logged correctly for recall and reporting purposes
  • Ensure team adherence to Group process and quality procedures
  • Communicating closely with Group departments such as Finance and Marketing

  • The ability to communicate at senior management level with our customer and prospect base.
  • Able to meet the demands of a fast-moving business that expects a high level of service
  • Able to drive the business forward in multiple work streams simultaneously
  • Good technical understanding of the Wind Energy business
  • Hands-on
  • A willingness to share knowledge and ideas within the organisation
  • A good listener able to drill down on core customer needs

Requirements

  • Excellent written and voice communication skills
  • A willingness to travel around to develop new markets and maintain customer relations
  • Must be able to think strategically and have a good commercial understanding of business
  • Previous management of a multiple-customer portfolio
  • Previous management of teams of people
  • Experience in Wind Energy and/or Recruitment industries
