VACANCY DESCRIPTION

Role Purpose: Responsible for providing support and for managing the performance & utilisation of Aircraft Maintenance Applications including other related IT activities. Capable of demonstrating strong communication & management skills, you will join the Airline technical IT teams in ensuring solutions are aligned with IT best practice, IS strategy & objectives.

Key Accountabilities:

  •  Management & support of Aircraft Maintenance applications, achieving optimum performance & system utilisation
  •  The ability to work with 3rd party service providers, IT & Business project managers, Business Analysts, Architects, software developers & Stakeholders to implement IT solutions on behalf of the local & group Airline business
  •  Conduct rigorous requirements gathering & analysis from Business & Vendors that translate to acceptable IT solutions
  •  Accountable for delivery – achieving project workstream targets to scope, timeline, quality, budget & technical solution
  •  Act as IT subject matter expert (SME) between the Airline Business & IT
  • Work collaboratively with Group Airline IT colleagues to deliver Group & Local Airline projects

Skills, Know-How and Experience:

Must Have –

  • 3 years AMOS administration experience or equivalent
  • 3 years IT system administration/system engineer experience or equivalent
  • Excellent E2E understanding of Aircraft Maintenance business & related IT systems e.g ETL, AirbusWorld, Boeing Toolbox etc
  • Evidence of strong IT technical skills, background & SQL language proficiency & to be able to clearly articulate technical issues into business language to IT
  • Can demonstrate excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Enthusiastic & motivated self-learner
  • Demonstrates flexibility in approach to work.

Preferred –

  • XML & related technologies – XLST, XSD
  • SGML & related technology – eg DTD
  • Project management skills
  • Understanding of software & hardware architectural patterns

Technical/Professional Qualifications:

  • AMOS administration
  • Boeing and/or Airbus, ETL systems knowledge
  • SQL – general
  • XML related technologies
  • MS Office skills
  • Understanding of Windows/Unix administration
