VACANCY DESCRIPTION

This role is a senior position and will report to our System Lead and will contribute, as part of an integrated cross-functional team, to the architecture, design, certification and delivery of the Jet.

You will have a chance in shaping the future of mobility by developing and certifying system and components in coordination with regulatory partners/suppliers.

Your Day to Day:

  • Supervise development of the next generation flight management system for eVTOL aircraft.
  • Take ownership of the system development aspects, including system architecture, requirements development, system safety assessment, system integration and certification.
  • Contribute to system planning activities, define requirements for subsystems and components.
  • Supervise the development of the system components, including safety-critical software.
  • Work together with other departments and external suppliers to find the simplest and most elegant solutions.

Your profile as a System Engineer – Flight Management:

  • B.Eng. / M.Eng. in Aerospace Engineering, System Engineering, Software Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Part 21J approved organization
  • Proven experience in development of the Flight Management Systems
  • Good knowledge of ARINC 424, ARINC 702A
  • Experience in completing development and certification activities according to ARP4754A, ARP4761.
  • Good knowledge of DO-178C / DO-331 / DO-297
  • Proven supplier management experience
  • Involvement in EASA/FAA (or other similar national agencies) audits (SOI1-SOI4) is a strong plus
  • Target-oriented, driven work style with analytic problem-solving skills required
  • Fluent English language skills are essential, Fluent German or any other language would be beneficial

Your focus will be the flight management system. Responsibility is not limited to system engineering only but covers all functional aspects of the product.

Duration: 12 months

Working hours: Normally 40 hours/week, this may vary depending on the department
Start remote possible (due to Covid19 situation), afterwards on-site working is required
